I just finished installing the laydown brake light and license plate frame that I got from sorgys. They look really good, too dark to take a decent picture, will try to get some tomorrow.

I was out there with a grinding wheel trying to make the license plate fit within the chrome edges of the license plate frame. Still have some more to go on that, but it should look pretty cool when all done.

Pretty simple job to do, but you might want to wash off under the rear fender prior to starting. Mine was pretty nasty under there. Gonna have to get out the pressure washer.

I just checked out he plate holder and light that Sorgys has.
They look pretty cool. I was thinking of doing that.
Tell us if they are as nice on your bike as they look on the ebay pictures.
Can't wait to see your pics.

One other question, did you leave the stock bulb in place or go with an LED lamp like Sorgy suggests?

Hows the quality of the lay down tail light lens? Comparable to the Harley original?

The only difference I can see is that the white window area where the lamp would illuminate the license plate is much smaller. Probably by as much as 50% smaller. I should go out tonight and see how much light gets thrown onto the plate. I would imagine not very much, but I seldom ride after dark anyway.

i've been using the laydown lens (with blue dot) that i got from sorgy's for about a year now. had another one before that, but it got damaged in transportation so i bought a second one from them. they are real nice folks to do business with. have had no problem with the stock bulb. the quality of the lens is top notch. fitment is good. my wife has one too, been behind her in the dark and no problem with the amount of light on the plate.
