I bought the new FXRG Gloves. They are made really well, and are exceptionally comfortable. The knuckle protectors look like something Batman would wear. The only drawback is I had hoped they would have been warmer. It has been in the twenties here, and I wanted some good long distance cold weather gloves. I can't go five miles in these gloves before I am feeling it. The advertisement in all the magazines make it seem as though you can ride all day in the FXRG no matter what the weather. No big loss, I will have a great pair of all-weather Spring/Fall gloves, and I know that they will last for many years. I bought them from Zanotti's, and saved about $30 on them.:banana

That was a good buy, CS, but if you're like me, my hands and feet are always cold, so I always need to find extreme arctic gear to make riding in cold weather acceptable...recently, I've been trying North Face Gloves and finding they do pretty good...they're the North Face Snowboarding gloves, and have a gortex exterior and thinsulate liners...since I get cold easily, they work really well for about fifty miles, then I get cold...I happened to stop into Costco (if you have one nearby), and found some chemical hand warmers there for $17.00 for forty pair of them...and each one is supposed to last 10 hours...not that I'm too cheap to buy some electric gloves...it's just that it doesn't get THAT cold here...we'll see as I get older...perhaps I'll go electric eventually! So if the FXRG gloves aren't helping you that much, give e-Bay a try and look for some snowmobile or snowboarding gloves! :D

I have some Serius Cold Weather gloves. They work well, but are too squishy in the palm, so my hand gets tired from trying to grip all the time. I also use the chemical hand warmers when I go to the field. I'll keep them in my gloves if I have duty at night, and then throw them into the bottom of my fartsack before I go to sleep. They keep my feet warm all night! The coldest night I spent here in korea was -17! That is when I decided to start using the chem warmers.

I bought a pair of those last year but a slightly different style and agree that they don't work as advertised. The gauntlet has a draw string that is great for keeping out the wind and they are really comfortable but I wish that they were warmer. They do pretty well above 40 but below that they falll short.
