Here are some pics of my 883 partially disassembled in my driveway, in order to fix the leaking rocker box gasket. One pic you can see where the gasket blew out. Notice the black crap that someone smeared over the head/r.box seal in order to try and contain the oil...instead of changing the gasket. Needless to say, it didn't work
