I have heard lots of snippets about keeping standard 883 heads rather than modifying them or replacing them and would like to get some definative information, particularly as much of the info I have seen was about pre '04 bikes.
Any information will be gladly received and I will be even happier if someone has some dyno charts to back up their thoughts.
The reason I am after this is that I am planning to convert my 883 at some time in the not too distant future. I use the bike every day and so am more interested in low end torque and reasonable fuel consumption reliability than top end horse power and dyno 'shootouts'. I also subscribe to the bang for buck theory so I don't want to be throwing lots of dosh for a 1hp increase that I wont be able to feel on the road each day.
