I just want to drop the back down around an inch. Gyahmers 22nd January 2005, 13:56 I recently put a set of 412's on my bike and yes, it did lower the seat height. I also bought the Hugger jiffy stand to get the bike to lean more while parked. chaserband 23rd January 2005, 00:53 I also bought the Hugger jiffy stand to get the bike to lean more while parked. Where did you get the stand? I was wondering if the bike would loose its stability on the original stand if I shortened the back of the bike down and inch or so. Have you lowered the front also? Gyahmers 23rd January 2005, 02:13 Where did you get the stand? Chicago HD -- part # 50072-92b JIFFYSTAND LEG, HUGGER If your not familiar with Chicago HD they discount all on line purchases 20%. They cannot advertise this on their website and when you make a purchase the total will be actual retail price. After your purchase Chicago Harley will send you an email with the discount applied to the billing info. I as well as others hear on the forum will tell you Chicago Harley is a very reputable dealership. Chicago Harley Parts (https://www.chicagoharley.com/2frames/2frame.html) I was wondering if the bike would loose its stability on the original stand if I shortened the back of the bike down and inch or so. IMHO yes, the bike stands more upright. Have you lowered the front also? Yes and no. I have a mid glide triple tree with a 3* rake on the front end of my bike so yes, the front end is slightly lower but no, I haven't lowered the front end using shorter springs/kit. Let me add that the lean of the bike wasn't effected as much with the triple tree installation as it was with the shorter shocks. |
