Strange you'd say that! I just recently bought a house in Ondrejov, Czech Republic! And by sheer chance, that town happens to be at Longitude 14.8 E, Latitude 49.9 N! Isn't it funny how coincidences like that happen? Should I work on my acceptance speech now, or wait until the formalities are taken care of? :D

bplinson 19th December 2005, 20:29 That is crazy. We live on the same latitude line. I just get on my SPorty and ride East for about 6 hours and I will be at your front door!!
(you know I was just kidding about only people in Europe on the 49.9 lat line are eligible....right? :P )

Yeah, I figured as much, but I thought I may as well give it the old college try. Besides, saying I lived on that latitude was a helluva lot cheaper than my other plan (bribing you). However, since Plan A did fail, it's now time for Plan B. ....Do you take certified bank cheques?

Well just keep on riding and veer just a smidge south and you'll find me Bert. I'm just a few miles from the "49 Degrees Ski Resort."
Very cool about the contest. Although I hate that you take so much sadistic pleasure in treasing us for days on end. :laugh

GOTWA 3rd January 2006, 02:04 so how do these contests work and what have they been in the past?
Bert has had some awesome prizes in the past. Tools, aftermarket A/C's, riding glasses, etc. Really cool and practical stuff. And little of it donated, mostly stuff he pays for. It is a very cool thing he does for sure, and very rare for a site like this I might add.
More often than not though, the contests are restricted to premium members. You can learn more about becoming a premium member here: Premium Membership (http://xlforum.net/vbportal/modules.php?name=Content&file=viewarticle&id=3)

http://xlforum.net/vbportal/forums/showthread.php?p=258629
bplinson 10th January 2006, 20:14 The is a small change to the contest prizes.
You will have a choice of a 03 and below 2" (centered or off-set) Hurricane-Flow AC and a set Hurricane billet pushrod bases or an 04 and above Hurricane-Flow AC. If you choose the 04 and above the pushrod bases will not be included.
Sorry for the mix up.
aswracing 10th January 2006, 21:45 Yeah, we don't offer pushrod bases for the rubber mount bikes. The factory ones work OK. We just have'em for the 91-03's. This way it balances out, value wise, too.
Hey Bert, keep in mind that if you ever need to purchase anything for any of these contests, we'd be glad to get it for you at cost. We can get most anything, we're a dealer for a lot of different companies and of course we're signed up with the major distributors (Drag, CC, etc). We can even drop ship to the winner if you'd like.
