Hi there!

Do you know if the US models have different transmission and gears ratios than european models?

Here we have slightly different roads and driving style, with few plain lands and straight highways, i saw lot of motorcycles with some different sprockets or pulleys for different markets...

I didn't find anything useful in that thread...
Maybe the most useful infos came from your numbers.

So the european models have longer 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th, but shorter 3rd?
Am I wrong?
I thought it was opposite.
And how is it possible? 30 fron sprocket?

Sorry Mate :o That was a typing error on my part. The 3rd gear on the 1200US should have been 5.04 not 4.04!

1200 US model final drive teeth:
Transmission 29
Rear Wheel 68

The sproket teeth the primary drive are the same in both the US and international 1200 and the rear wheel sprokets are the same.

The only difference is the tranmission sprocket on the transmission end of the final drive.
