Why is the maximum pressure listed on the side of my rear Dunlop D401 41psi and the manual says to run at 40psi? Seems awfully close to the maximum. I'm used to increasing pressure when riding two-up, extra gear ect. This leaves next to nothing. Just curious, any thoughts?

Johnny, please don't cross-post. Responses should be posted to this thread.

Hi Johnny. There is a sticker on the frame that states the cold pressures for solo and with a passenger. This is what I would follow. BTW, as long as you are not over the maximum inflation for the tire, you'll be okay.
