newberrykc 29th December 2005, 08:25 Good video so far... Can't wait to see the rest...
Jeffytune 29th December 2005, 08:32 Kinda fun to watch.
One thing Chuck. Is that fuel filter a old style Glass one?
If si, we call those "Barbeque filters" Not that you would put one on your Barbeque's, it what it will turn your bike/car into one.
They are flat dangerous, please get rid of it and get a metal one.
newberrykc 29th December 2005, 08:46 I have the clear filter also. What's bad about them?
Jeffytune 29th December 2005, 08:59 I have the clear filter also. What's bad about them?
The Glass filter(Not clear plastic) can crack and break if wile hot they get sprayed with water.
I have seen many cars catch fire do to these filters, and when ever i see one, I replace them....even on customers cars.
On top of that they do have a tendency to leak, in short, they look cool, but there not safe.
Fram makes a filter of the same size that is steel, and it is cheap.
There are also chrome ones you can get.
It is a question of safety.
RedRider 29th December 2005, 14:04 Lookin' good, Chuck!

cantolina 29th December 2005, 17:57 Thanx folks...
The next one will be a bit different....same basic format...but put together a little differently...
If anyone has constructive criticizm, PLEASE feel free to give it...
(No on here will be as hard on me as my best friend James was yesterday! :laugh)
newberrykc 29th December 2005, 20:24 For this video, I think it was great. Not too much involved so far, so it was good...But when you get to the cylinders and heads removal, I would like to see more detail. Maybe you explaining what you are doing while you are doing it. Do's and Don'ts when removing them, tricks you've learned to get to some of the bolts easier, just more detail.... But all in all, it's awsome Chuck. Definetly a keeper for me, good stuff to know....
RedRider 29th December 2005, 20:34 Hey Chuck, where's all the busted knuckles and cussin'??? ;) :D :D :D
cantolina 29th December 2005, 21:41 Only 1 good finger slam so far....
Plenty of cussing....I'm sure we'll be seeing some of that soon...
(Like when the DV CAM malfunctioned several times....)
Mr Jimi 29th December 2005, 21:47 And of course you know Chuck, we are all looking forward to a real good blooper version. Don't be to quick on deleting the good stuff:roflblack

Actually, I plan on leaving most of that stuff in......it adds to the character of the video...
:)
In fact, if you pay close attention, there is a MAJOR blooper right in there... :)
AOW 29th December 2005, 22:20 So far so good Chuck, thanks for your work. As mentioned above, I think a little more explanation of the details would be good and maybe have the music a little lower so we can more clearly hear you when you're speaking. It's probably kinda strange when you are doing things you already know how to do but have to try to explain for the video.

True..
I thought the text overlays were a bit distracting at time...I'll fix that...
Also, I agree that more explanation will be necessary as things get more involved!
Thanx!
AOW 29th December 2005, 22:41 There's great videos here already but yours is going to be worth the price of membership on it's own (for those with 883's). Are you getting paid for your efforts? Parts or anything? You should be.
cjburr 30th December 2005, 03:40 Very nice Chuck, I will follow this with great interest.
Thank you.

xena 31st December 2005, 03:26 Looks good so far! Thanks for making the vid. One thing I'd recommend for anyone trying this at home would be to take the watch off. Easy to scratch the bike while working with a watch, ring, or other jewelry on. Don't ask me how I know. ;)
newberrykc 6th January 2006, 21:45 Ok, been a while now, where's the second video...No more finger nails left Chuck, let's get on it....Give it to us....
drummer5140 16th January 2006, 18:27 Ya hurry please:)
