Looked like we had 5+ people interested in the idea of getting some Lindby Bars.. what is/are the pricing breakdowns and who's interested?:smoke

We'll just start this as a "curiousity" thing for now, and if folks want to go forward w/ it, then we'll set a date and go from there.

Okay here is what NRHS can do:
Retail price on 04 and up is $321.95
Retail price on 04 down Sportys is $319.95

If we can get 5 or more orders I will sell either one for $280

I hope this isn't inappropriate to mention, but I bought mine from Eastern Performance in October for $235 + $24 shipping. It was #112-1 for stock forward controls (86-03).

The Tick, I personally don't think any tips to a good price is inappropriate! Love supporting our vendors... possibly that price isn't available NOW, but I'll check... I am interested in a group buy if it is the cheapest we can get brand new Lindby bars.

Does anyone have pics of these on an '04+ XLC? I'd love to see pics to see how they are in relation to the forward controls.

Like I said there is no way I can compete with that price. They are an internet only company that just sells parts. They have no overhead.

I agree w/ that. At the same time I can't drop an extra $50 on something just to support the little guy. $10-20, yeah, I'd do that for the cause, but $50 is allot to me. (since I really can't afford to buy these now anyway, but SG had to open her mouth and get me interested.):doh

If you look closely at the auction mentioned by CntryFun, some of you may recognise the seller... you don't have to look very far in this forum to find some lengthy and rather heated discussion of this company in particular.

You have to weigh the low prices along with the risk you run in dealing with companies/individuals like these. Sometimes, what seems like a bargain - isn't.

Get the scoop on restocking fees, how warranty (if any) issues are going to be brokered by the dealer, etc. There's only one way for a vendor to sustain such razor-thin margins, and there's more to sales and service than just low prices. If you open the carton and find a defect in the plating (for example) who are you supposed to call? The dealer? Distributor? Manufacturer? Moreover, who would you rather call? Dan, or Dave?

I have VERY briefly looked around and the Ebay ad I posted was what I found in about 2 mins. of looking.
There are huge advantages of dealing w/ a local/small dealer and I try to do that as much as possible. I don't know the dealer listed in the ad, and would certainly look into it before buying, but if I can save $50 and find a good dealer, I'm going that route. My money is as hard to come by as the small dealers.

I don't know what is listed in that add either, but J&P Cycles doesn't say anything about them not working w/ forward controls or on 'C' models, but I don't know for sure. I'll make sure to call someone first and find out.
Thanks though.

I'd just as soon pay NRHS's full price than deal with a dolt like amcp

Gotta agree w/ Moker. Did I really say that :roflblack
If any problems they will stand behind the product. Exellent customer service and peace of mind has a price. Do your homework first and then make the decision that you feel best.
I want to extend my forwards more forward and not up so these would not work for me. I ride w/ my heals hung over the front pegs.
