So, I ride my bike to work everyday and I haven't found a solo bag that would fit the "look" of my bike yet. Therefore I wear a backpack. I carry a few misc tools, extra quart of oil (still in break in period and JIC), a hoodie, a benie, a scarf, and my PSP (Playstation Portable, for the down time).
Tonight after changing into my "riding gear" after work I zipped up my backpack and headed out to warm up the bike.
It was a nice ride home, little chilly in spots, but I had my leather jacket on so the benie, jacket, and scarf were in my backpack...... or so I thought :doh
I get home, get off the bike and notice my pack feels a little wonky.
This is the fun part, I'm sure there are a few of you that have already figured out what happened so :shhhh don't ruin it for the others!
Instead of zipping up my pack with both zippers on one side at the bottom I zipped it with both zippers meeting at the top.... Say that five times fast.
No jacket, no beenie, no scarf, and :censor NO PSP! The tools and oil on the other hand were still there. Nice and heavy I suppose.
The moral of the story... don't wear a backpack, but if you must... put the zippers at the bottom!
I'm sure some of you might say "retrace your route and pick up your stuff!" It was a thought, but I got home at 1:00am and I work about 25mi away and they are just "things" so no biggie. I'm just irritated.
Thanks for letting me vent :xlrocks
