I am interested in the engine guards HD part #49060-04 however I don't know if these will fit the Custom 1200... i.e. will the guards get in the way of the forward controls?

Anyone out there have these guards on a Custom?

Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. The guards look good.

I like the look of the saddlebags on your bike. What make are they, and do you have saddlebag supports?

Good job, Bert. Willie and Max (http://www.accwhse.com/williema.htm) is correct. #SB736, I believe.

And no you do not need saddle bag supports but it helps quite a bit.

Those guards look great. I'm convinced.

I see that you have something on your windshield.. looks like an E-Z pass or something like that. I have one for the NY thruway but wasn't sure where to put it. I tried it in my pocket but it wouldn't read. I guess the concern would be theft.. I suppose you remove that when you aren't on the bike... not sure if the velcro would hold up for frequent removals though.

You're right it's a toll tag (ez pass) and no I never remove it. Even leave it on when I or God wash the bike. Many bikes around here have them on......usually about the same place. If it were stolen, a few clicks on the key board cancels it, so it's pretty much worthless to someone longer than an hour or so. Around here, if folks want to cheat the tollway, they just go thru the unstaffed drivethrough lanes.:tour
