I have a Forcewinder XR2 air cleaner in either black or polished finish(buyers choice) for 91-06 Sportsers available. it is brand new, complete in the box and comes with the XR2 style breather set-up which makes for a very clean high tech mount.

The retail price on this is $336.95.

NRHS special price: $275 :clap

Is this still available?? Does the XR2 breather setup go into the intake tract and if it does is this really that bad from a performance standpoint?? I'll take it if it's still there.

Unfortunately somebody beat you to the deal. I thought it was you who bought it since they were from this board. I still have a black one available but it cost a bit more. It is $300.

Call me, Dan, at 303-833-4500

It was me; I PM'ed Dan after I saw the thread. In my defense, I DID note in my message that cjburr responded before me; I wasn't trying to swipe it from under your nose.

However, that being said, if you really want the chrome one, let me know ASAP, and you can have it (no, not a gift. You can buy it from Dan). He said that it'd probably ship today, so as long as it hasn't gone out yet, we can still do this. Let me know which way you wanna go!

Sorry, CJ; day's over and I'm outta here. I won't be able to check a computer till about 7 EST now, so that'll be a little late to switch things over.

Dan, you've got my info; send me a forcewinder!

Any tips on what to do after someone says they want something?? It was late when I said I wanted the AC and when I called you were closed. Perhaps you could post the person to contact so the next guy doesn't miss out on his deal.:(

I got busy and forgot to call again so I have no hard feelings about losing the deal, however I wouldn't want it to happen to someone else.

NRHS still rocks in my book:clap :clap :clap

Best advice I could give is to call me right away. I am the only point of contact when it comes to these special sales. Sorry it got sold to somebody else. But I still might be able to work out a deal for you just maybe not quite so good.

As I said before NRHS rocks and so do you Dan:clap :clap :clap

Dan was kind enough to scrounge up another Forcewinder for me and gave me the same deal:banana :banana :banana :banana

Now that's customer service, Dan still took care of me even when it was my fault for not getting ahold of him sooner:doh :doh :doh

Many thanks, Chris

Dan, you and Aaron sure have made a great reputation for your company, on these forums. I love to see customer care and appreciation like this. While I have yet to modify my Sporty quite far enough to utilize your services, your company is on the top of my list, as I approach that point! :D

NRHS gets two sales, and two Sporty owners get that cheesy "grade niner-I just got laid" grin for the next two weeks. Everybody wins! :clap

And Dan, thanks for taking care of Chris. In addition to the public comments, I also sent a PM, apologizing for the mix-up (and I had another one ready in case there weren't any more left).

Not a problem Casper, it wasn't yours or NRHS's fault, I appreciated the PM, thanks, Chris:p

Well if NHRS can't help you then www.gopartsdirect.com has them for about the same price with free shipping if that helps

There are other places out there to get Forcewinders and the mail order places will be cheaper I am sure. But I doubt any of them will include the float bowl breather modification for free like we do.

I doubt they would even know what you are talking about if you asked them.

Received my Forcewinder today. Had some slight confusion on the breather set up :doh but a call to Dan at NRHS has me up and running.:D :D I will install this weekend, rejet, and post my impressions in the paying taxes thread.

Thanks again Dan, Chris

Got mine in last Friday, but dopey me didn't anticipate in advance and get a bracket (gonna call my local indy today). Plus, as I was taking off the old AC to do a quick mockup, one stupid screwhead on the backplate stripped. If things are a little warmer this weekend, I'll drill it out. Hopefully I'll have a bracket by then and be up and running! :D

Kudos to the NRHS folks for all the great work! :clap

The bike seems to be running great, will read my plugs after some miles are on it. Only took about an hour to do the install and rejet, these bikes are sure easy to work on:D :D

Roll ons are fairly crisp, may have to adjust the mixture screw a little, but I think it's pretty close and no carb farts as of yet:banana :banana :banana

The bike is running great:tour :tour :tour I'm ready for BikeWeek:clap :clap

Thank you for finding me an AC after our little mix up, I really do appreciate it very much. It's great to be able to deal with people who care about their customers.

I will recommend you to everyone I know who is considering doing any upgrades to their bike, be it a Sportster or BT:whisper :whisper :whisper

Thanks again and we will talk soon about a big bore kit:smoke :smoke
NRHS ROCKS!!!!!!!

Did you get the recharge kit from NRHS? If not your local Advance Auto carries it for $3-4 dollars cheaper than the stealer or anyone.
Looks like the filter needs a little oil to make it work 100%.

BTW- the FW looks great installed.:clap

Thanks for the tip xcellent01, I have K&N filters on all my vehicles so I happen to have a recharge kit in the garage. I will oil it now, thanks.:D

Just bought the black Forcewinder XR2 kit from Dan at NRHS for my '05 1200R. It should look good up against the racing orange paint. Can't wait to get it, I'll post pics when I learn how to.

Well, after quite some time and trouble, it's done! My Forcewinder is now on the Sporty. I would've had it up and running a lot sooner, but the head of the bottom screw on the backplate was stripped all to :censor, and nothing I could do would loosen it. I took it to some buddies who all had similar results. Finally, I gave up, went to a pro, dropped my money on the table, and (after him fighting with it for a bit) he finally got it off. So, here's a before/after shot of the intake:

http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f393/XLF_Casper/ForcewinderIntake.jpg

Yes, the pics were taken on different days, hence the difference in colour on the tank. I have yet to take 'er for a spin, but the bike swap meet at the Ex is still on tomorrow, so I may take a run out to Toronto. I did fire her up to check for leaks and she sounded a tad louder, so I'm guessing more air's getting in. Now I just have to get that 1250 kit installed and I'll be really happy!

How is this setup if you get caught in the rain. Will it still work if it gets wet?

Been caught many times in the rain, and not one problem at all, just need to re-oil the element after each monsoon.

BTW- they do have a sock for it, but i don't wear socks.:roflblack

I wondered about that......not the socks....but the wetness getting to it. I actually would love to get one of these bad boys.

It is not recommended to ride with the rain sock on unless it is actually raining. The sock is quite restrictive and kills horsepower.

Thanks, I did not know that. I just like the way it looks. Do you guys sell any type of black filter element or black filter cover?
