View Full Version : Rate your Seat(s)
coma-toast 18th January 2006, 23:31 The “ How many Sporty Seats ya got for one ass?” poll inspired an idea to actually rate our seats. I thought JohnnyG had a good Idea when he responded to the poll by writing how his seat looked as well as comfort in a rating format. So here is an attempt to bring together a formal rating for all those seats we use and abuse.
In the first part of your post please list the seat make and model, and then rate the looks and comfort from 1-10 with 10 being best. Post Pics if you have them. Below you can list comments and your bike’s year. So here goes my measly contribution:

The bucket is very comfortable but I would like a seat that allows me to shift my butt back an inch or two. I am even thinking of switching back to the stock seat for this reason. (I am 6')

Johnny G 2nd February 2006, 03:03 I don't even want to go there, all I can say is I have had about every seat you can put on a sportster as far as solo seats and I could not hardly ride 100 mile on them and now I have a LePera Daytona LT and I rode 240 miles last Saturday with 0 pain and rode another 100 the following Sunday and I never had any pain at all. I have a bad lower back and this is the only seat that works for me.
Bill2 6th February 2006, 17:10 Johnny have you tried a corbin classic solo seat? Just wondering you said as far as solo seats you could'nt hardly make 100 miles. I can ride all day on my classic and heres how i would rate it.

My third seat is a:
Corbin gunfighter seat
Looks: 9 (low profile as well)

My only real complaint about the Corbin classic solo is the seam that goes across the middle of the seat digs into my a-- and drives me nuts and it sit me back a little to far
Bill2 9th February 2006, 16:51 My only real complaint about the Corbin classic solo is the seam that goes across the middle of the seat digs into my a-- and drives me nuts and it sit me back a little to far
That seam across the seat i can't even feel but everybody different. I have the corbin classic solo regular but they also have a close version. Did you try the close version? Well i don't guess it really matters if that seam bugs you. But i sure like the heck out of mine and i see trout really likes his too. Anyway glad you found a seat that works for you. Plus it looks real good on your bike.

arjay 19th February 2006, 13:48 I just put a Corbin Hollywood Solo on and had a chance to ride it a little yesterday (207 miles) and have to admit it suprised me.
Corbin Hollywood Solo:
Scale 1-10 w/10 being highest rating
