First: Jetting the carb... where should I start? My plugs looked perfect when I pulled them last night. Go up 1 size, 2, or stay where I'm at? (Dynojet jet kit, 45 slow jet, forgot what main, idle mixture about 2.5 turns out)
Second: Break-in... What procedure should I follow, especially considering that I'm changing cams?
TIA!!

Each engine is different, but what worked best on mine, and confirmed on the dyno air/fuel sensor was:
DynoJet kit with the following changes:
45 slow jet
170 main jet
2 1/2 turns on the idle mixture screw
stock slide spring
The 170 jet is smaller than the stock jet, but you need to remember that the DynoJet kit uses a much thinner needle (it's the jet and needle combo that needs to be considered togather)

Thanks... I'll probably rejet it tonight and do a couple other little things to further this process along. I started thinking about how much other crap I have to do besides the engine build (changing lines, levers, etc.) and won't be able to resist tinkering with it tonight some.
I even picked up a Screamin' Eagle carb top today. :D

Russ, get some miles on it and take it to a dyno operator as soon as you can. I put 1000 miles on my bike quick and got the jetting tuned as soon as I could. It made a big difference.
Some guys say you need 2k, but 1k should be plenty.
