My buddy sparkin, a member of this form, went on a trackday at Donington Park racetrack in England the other day, and these are photos taken there. Continental tyres rep was at the track that day and offered to pay for the photos on condition that they could use some on their website. He couldn't believe that sparkin was on road tyres - Conti Road Attacks.

He said it was the most fun biking day he's ever had. I don't think much came past him! I expect he'll be along before too long to tell you all about it...

The Conti Road Attacks are highly rated, but unfortunately they're not available in sizes to fit stock Sporty rims.:frownone

First: Great pics
Your friend looks like a fairly tall person. Is he?
Also looks like a darn good rider!
Knee draggin, although an art of sort and dazzling to some can be quite exagerated. Moreover, I ride with a bunch of ricers, many of whom hit up on track days several times a year and can drag a knee on their Suzi's, Hondas and Kawi's etc....
I, at times will ride behind these guys (typically on roads I'm very familiar with), and watch and or follow their lines on my MADCAFE' Sportster; and stay with them. While they will drag knee occassionally, their pegs interestingly may not be near the pavement. Of course the peg/foot location (rear sets) has an affect but with my mid peg set up, I've been told that even though I really hang-off and scrape pegs, my knees are no where near touching down. I know much of that is because my knees are up, about equal with my tank (due to my mid controls) whereas the ricer Dudes knees are fixed quite low, due to their foot control location.
Thanks again for those fine pics

If your referring to my pictures, I am 6' tall. Dragging your knee depends on a couple of things. Body position is first. You need to be off quite a ways if you want it to be easy. Also speed and bike c.g. determine how far over the bike will be in relation to the ground. The faster you go centrifugal force will determine how far over the bike will need to be to maintain a particular line through the curve. By positioning your body further off the bike towards the ground, you will lower the bikes c.g. and the bike will not need to be as close to the ground as if you were sitting straight up on the bike. Ride safe, Frank.

Very cool pictures, it looks like a heckuva good time! I just have to point out the one pic where it looks like your entering a turn, and the signs behind you say "sausage lube" I laughed my ass off!!!
