I took my bike ('06 883C) down to my local Indy w/ the SE/II's, SE Air cleaner and a re-jet. We ran it once on the dyno and it came in at 51 HP and 46 ft lbs of torque. We then added the Forcewinder A/C and it came out to 52.7 HP and 48.5 ft lbs of torque. We increased the main jet to a 180 and ran again....very little change. It did not add any HP, but it did lean it out a tad. Then we opened up the baffles in the SE slip ons.....again, no HP gain but it leaned it out a little more.
So basically, I added 2 HP and 2 ft lbs of torque after adding the Forcewinder.
These dyno results are w/ a Forcewinder A/C, SE II slip on's, and a 180 main jet.

Nice. Interesting to see the Forcewinder making a couple of extra horses over HD's new designed SE filter. Glad to see that actually. On mine I didn't see any measurable difference between the FW and the SE, but my SE was the old style K&N filter.
When you opened up the baffles in the SE slipons, what exactly did you do and did you notice any measurable loss in torque?

we used a very high tech/complicated method...........we used a long breaker bar. :laugh We just jammed it up in there and twisted around...but only a little. We didnt want to do too much. Basically, just put it in and turned it like a screwdriver. No increase or change in torque or HP. We did it soley to lean it up a little....which it did, but VERY little. There wasnt much difference in sound either....the difference I THINK I hear may just be in my head.
I was hoping for maybe a 3HP gain, but I'll be happy w/ 2. Plus, I like the looks so much better now. And the gain in knee clearence is amazing!

The Forcewinder is a great air cleaner. I will only run a Hurricane Flow or a Forcewinder on my bikes.

Good Run! My pre-conversion 883 was pulling 47 h.p. max, with S/E A/C, re-jet, and S/E Pro II slip-ons. Hope to do better now......
