Fork Screws

Hello, I am going to relocate my front signals to the forks. Question is, the relocation kit calls for taking the lower fork pinch screws out, will the forks move if I only do one side(screw) at a time? And when I put the screws back in how tight do they need to be? Any help is very much appreciated.
Also, I don't have a lift, can I do this with the front wheel on the ground?

I did that to my turn signals. Do one side at a time. The tubes will not slide if you only loosen the bottom one side at a time. The pinch screws should be torqued at 30-35 ft lbs according to the manual. It's a fairly easy job.
