Sandman883 5th February 2006, 13:55 I've seen those before. From what I can see they are a good, inexpensive hard bag, but don't expect the quality to be that of something that's a bit more expensive either. You can actually find them a bit cheaper on Ebay, just type in "hard motorcycle bags" into the search, and quite a few will show up. These bags come with "universal" brackets, so you have to kind of put them on and "fanangle" with them to get them to fit, but it can be done. There is a guy with a sportster in my area that has them (the hard saddlebags with the tail lights and 2 chrome rails around them), and they don't look bad! As I said though, as long as you don't expect "great" quality, and you are willing to play around with them to get them to fit, you can't beat the bang for the buck. :) Alasportster 5th February 2006, 15:47 ACIFICA INC. Here's a shot of them on the bike with the rails they are talking about. They worked real well and look good. Feel free to PM me if you have any other questions about them..... snowman :wonderlan coconl 5th February 2006, 21:10 Sorry about the web site. the Vendio link is the site for the tour pack ncst8er 5th February 2006, 21:57 Snowman, how about some info. on the fairing?I didn't know anyone was making a fairing like that for the sportster. snowman 5th February 2006, 23:45 The fairing is from a 2002 Electra-Glide. It's just the outer fairing that I custom mounted (three points) to the lower tree and the handlebar clamps. I just finished lowering the headlight 3" so I could drop the fairing lower and angle it back for a sleeker look. snowman :wonderlan Bill2 6th February 2006, 02:07 The fairing is from a 2002 Electra-Glide. Roadster_Rider 6th February 2006, 20:54 what is the rail tat attaches it, does it come with the bag or? snowman 6th February 2006, 21:36 The rails are an addtional $35 if he has them. I used the front mounting point with longer shock bolts, drilled one more to align with the original tail light holes and bolted it all together, moving the tail lights to the back lower rail (had to add 8" of wire). The boxes bolt to the pads welded to the rails. It took a weekend to set up but I really enjoyed them last year..... |
