I ride a standard and considering similar changes. Interesting to see the tank without the custom pinstripes. Looks better plain. jimmyheadgear 19th November 2004, 18:10 I like it! How's it feel? Handle, corner comfort? I ride a standard and considering similar changes. Interesting to see the tank without the custom pinstripes. Looks better plain. el jeffe Thanks. It's pretty comfortable for me. There are only two downsides I have experienced so far and neither is a big deal to me. 1. Since I lowered the bike I can't lean down as far as I used to, going into turns. So now I just go a little slower. Big deal. 2. The HD low profile seat is a little short for me. My legs are a little too long and I end up at the back of the seat. The only time its a real problem is when I have thick soled boots on. Otherwise I love it. :D MidWest XL 15th May 2005, 19:41 Am I too dorked-up? I can't see no stinkin' pic... Never mind - found it in the other post... What mods did you have to do to make it fit? jimmyheadgear 29th May 2005, 16:29 What year Fat Boy is the wheel from? What mods did you have to do to make it fit? I believe the solid or vented rear disk is now stock on all of the Sporty Customs. I wanted a standard XL for the gear ratios but I like the solid rear wheel look. jimmyheadgear 12th July 2005, 04:04 The pipes are finally back. Here are pictures with and without the heat shields. whispers 12th July 2005, 04:24 I dig 'em.. (thumbs up).. maybe a little more "chrome" by the back end/wheel to make the black pipe "POP" more...
