The time is coming to put my bike on the road and the only thing I'm not sure will pass saftey on my bike is the rubber. Truth be told even if it's "close" I'd rather replace them.

So what tires are you guys rolling and what do you like and/or don't like about them?

Oh Brother, Another can of worms opened. There have been several threads on this, but heck, why not another. There is really no right answer. It depends on how you ride and your resources and preferences. There are some that are less expensive, some that last longer, some that handle better. I have a fairly new set of Dunlops on now, last set lasted well and handled ok, However, based on what I can read, I'll probably get Metzlers [spelling?] next. Most everyone seems to agree they handle mountain roads better and thats what we have most. I find myself riding harder the longer I'm here. Wasn't an issue where I usta ride, flat and straight. Good luck and ride safe. :tour

Bridgestone Battleaxe for street. dual compound; soft-hard-soft for street. Dunlop ZR's for salt (because the tech won't allow less).

I just put on a set of Metzler Me 880's on my bike. I have not used them yet because the bike is still being worked on but I bought them from all the people who recommended them from this forum as well as my indy.

I got a little less than 6500 miles out of my stock Dunlops.

I've got a set of Metzeler 880's on the scoot now. I only have around 500 miles on them so far, but I like them.

Red Rider I ride mostly two and I gotten around 7,000 out of the Dunlops
at least on the rear Iam on my 3rd rear had it mounted In Jan.
I am pushing 15,000 miles on my 03 Xl883c
We'll have to see how the Metzeler 880's done.
