I just got my new superbrace yesterday and I have a couple of stupid questions..
The instructions say to loosen the axle caps or pinch bolts to allow the forks to relax..
Can anyone tell me which pinch bolts are being referred to? I'm not sure what is meant by axle caps either..
Does anyone have a photo?
Also, what are the torque settings for these bolts?
Thanks!

I have not installed one of these yet but I believe that they are refering to the bolts at the bottom of the forks that clamp the front axle in place.

both sets of pinch bolts on the forks. also, include the axle.
Be sure that the bike is supported on a lift/jack before you attempt.
2nd, When I did mine, I made sure the wheel was Just touching the ground, but the forks were fully extended.

30 - 35 ft/lbs. for the pinch bolts. Tighten top triple tree first.
50 - 55 ft/lbs. for the axle nuts.

I called Superbrace about these instructions when I got mine. He told me not to worry about it on my bike ('07). He said that they were only concerned with the much older bikes with a lot of wear and possibly warping twisting secondary to that wear.
