If you are referring to Torx bits, Harbor freight sells them for cheap. They are not the best quality, but they get the job done. I own a set and they work fine for me, you may also want to use a torque wrench when tightening the torx head bolts, the head tends to strip easily. Of course, just like anything else you can pay as much as you want to.

Sorry, I got a rigid mount motor, I wouldn't be able to help you on that.

Hey Dog, Do yourself a favor and get a good quality set of Torx from Snap-on or Mac or such. Every one on my bike I've had to take off is so tight, I think it was installed by a gorilla. I've snapped or rounded out a few cheaper ones.

I think it was a 40T but not positive. Give me 20 mins and I'll go out to the shed and check for sure.

Don't go spending money on the snap on or mac tools set just yet, unless you got money to blow. I bought my set from harbor freight and use an impact wrench to loosen the tight ones. You won't strip the head if you use an impact wrench. I guess it just depends on how much money you want to spend on the solution.

Well, I just went out and checked mine ... It's a #45 Torx.

Just out of curiousity ... why do you need to remove the front engine stabilizer bar?

Broncodog

Just the two bolts because the top of the crash bar bolts to it

I bought T-50 torx socket at Auto Zone in the plaza around the corner from work last summer. It seems to be a pretty decent quality, the manufacturer name stamped on the side is "OEM Industrial" (whoever they are).

I bought it for the chrome button head bolts I put on the rear sprocket after I installed the chrome sprocket cover I won from Bert in the first XL Forum Team contest. It also fits the upper rear shock bolts on my '03.

Wally World has Stanley sets (Taiwanese) at a reasonable cost. For me it's not so much where it's made, as how it's made. I got a set and the quality seems okay. Sears Craftsman also has a set, but it doesn't include a T27. Ironically, I have broken more Snap-On bits over the years than any of the others I have...at least they don't 'round off', tho'. Lisle also has a fairly complete set of Torx bits.

I have a set of Lisle torx bit and have used them for a number of years. They are ok for light & medium duty jobs.

I also have a top-of-the-line set of Snap-On torx bits (they make several different grades) and have never broken one.

If you do a lot of work with torx bolts, do yourself a favor and buy a good set. It will save you many heartaches later.
