I found this dealer on the web, ordered their catalog and was amazed.
Their selection and prices seem really good.

Has anyone dealt with them?
Your (first-hand) experience comments are appreciated.

I've dealt with them and, like you, was amazed by the prices...really good deals on quite a few things...ordered my cycle shacks from them a few years ago...think they were $93us including shipping...which was a good deal at the time...not sure what they are going for now. Overall I had a good experience dealing with them and would order from them again.

Thanks raysheen.

I posted a question about the progessive shock "buy" that was supposed to be going on here at XLForum. If that isn't going to happen, I'm ready to order the shocks and front end stuff from Jireh. I also really like one of their "bob" tanks and I want to order at the same time.
I figure a couple more months of this lousy cold weather and white stuff, then it will be wrenching and riding time again. :tour

I also have dealt with Jireh (I believe they are an offshoot of Midwest). They have been good to deal with and the prices are hard to beat. Go for it.

my friend buys lots of parts from them. they are a mid west dealer who works on a small profit margin (approx 20 %) another friend of mine has a small indy shop and they can usually beat his prices.

I have had excellent luck dealing with Jireh as well. One thing to note if you are planning on Progressive 440s from them-they only have the heavy-duty models. I had to change springs out to get the standard rate 70/120s vs the 95/140 hd items. What items they do have seem to have the best pricing I have found. Very friendly folks. Shipping was downright fast, too.

i have ordered from them several times in the past. never had a problem, can't beat the prices. free shipping over 75.00 (in my case, it was free under 75.00, think that might have been a mistake) if you have never dealt with them before, call them and order their free catalog. that way it is much easier when buying. their website is not much for 'shopping'.

Thanks Kim,
I'm curious, was the difference enough that you had to change the springs??
I suspect the amount of weight on the bike will make a difference, I'm 6'1" and 198lbs.
I don't have their "phone book" :D with me, but I thought I saw both shocks in the 2005 book.

Thanks to everyone for your comments. I mentioned Jireh to my riding co-workers and they all ordered and received their phone books as well. Everyone pretty much had the same two comments "Damn that thing is huge." and "How come they don't have the prices in there?" Then you show them the back pages. Heck I did that too, I was so busy looking at their offerings, I never got to the back of the catalog!

Never purchased from Jireh but I just received the big fat catalog and omg, I'll need to work 100 hours a week to buy all the stuff I want. Oh and they sent the free catalog Fedex even!

Dave, Progressive recommends the heavy duty springs for riders over 225 lbs
or for touring rigs. I weigh 167 and am 5'6". The standard rate springs are still somewhat 'stiff' even on minimum preload-not harsh, but there's nothing left on the 'softer side'. The HD springs would have been brutal for me. Now this HD/Standard issue only applies to the 440 series shocks. Jireh does have the 412 and 418 series in standard for Sporties, but not the 440s, which I wanted. If you want the 412s or 418s-no problem. Progressive exchanged my heavy duty springs for standards...if you want the 440s and go this route, you must have a means to change the springs out-I have some jigs and a hydraulic press for this. If you do want the 440s, and can't change the springs out yourself, I'd look elsewhere for this item...I have seen a few outlets that are close to Jireh's price and that stock the standard springs on 440s.

I got the catalog(phone book) this last Friday. I was looking around for risers for the drag bars I recently put on. Dealers and other places had them for around $38- $$$$$ or more. Jireh's price $21.95 + $8 shipping total price $29.95 If you place an order over $75 shippings free. I will wait to see when they come in and install them and post another pic of the bike then. :clap

I've bought a ton of stuff from them. I always call to check availability. The service is great, and the stuff I've bough has been good. If you mention them on some forums, small distributors cringe and say bad things. To me it's all about me saving money, not me supporting a bike shop that marks up 30-40%.

I have bought a lot of parts from them and have always been happy!
I can not think of any other catalog based company that can beat the prices.
Highly recommended!

Iv'e bought the 2" stretch tank, ignition, dash kit for my 98 sporty for under $290.00. You cant beat their prices. They seem to be the best for parts. Getting ready to put
lights on the saddlebags. Check the pics in my profile

Hi Chip,

Which tank (part#)?
I keep going back and forth regarding which tank I want. I know I want at least a 4 gallon and would really prefer not to have to modify the seat...
Bolt On sounds about right :laugh

TIA,
If you have the Jireh 05 catalog. Check pg 8-3. Down at the bottom. Tank,
dash for electronic speedo, fuel caps and all hardware including ignition
switch(Fatbob) all for under 295. Yes, it bolts to the original stock mounts
and fits well right up to the LaPera Maverick seat with no modifications. I did
have to extend the trip re-set wires and the idiot light wires about 3 in. Tank
has to be prepped and sealed. Any questions, I'm here.

I've only purchased mufflers from them. Great price but wrong mufflers... I ordered tapered and got baloney cut. The weird thing was it even said tapered on the box and had the right part number but low and behold once I opened them it was baloney cut. I have heard this about them from others. I put them on anyway since I was having a hard time deciding initially on which ones to order and it was between the tapereds and baloney. The price was right though $119 shipped.

Just placed my first order with Jireh and I'm already impressed with not only their prices, but their customer service seems top notch as well. I placed the order today and about an hour later they called me on the phone to let me know that three of the items I ordered were not in stock so they weren't charging me, but that the rest of the order would be shipped out tomorrow.

Thanks All,

I went ahead and purchased the Progressive Shocks, FatBob tank, tank cleaner and coating, coil and switch re-lo kit yesterday.
I was surprised, everything was in stock and I should have it by Friday :clap

Too bad the Sportster's in storage.
Ahhh maybe the snow will go away and it will get up above 50f by Friday??

I was surprised they didn't have a lower kickstand, had to go to Kirk for that.

Man please send some of those 50's to Erie,PA too. I have cabin fever so bad! I am tired of wrenching on my car and the bike and the garage in the cold. Kerosene heaters dont do crap in 15 degree weather! Anyway I try to order from either jireh or one of the v-twin dealers. I use www.ZoomCyclesllc.com for my v-twin stuff. Jason :tour
