Hey guys, I have one of the first TC88As. I actually took it off of my bike because intermittently, it would cause the speedo and tach to go dead. I would throw my SE module in there and the problems were gone. Anyone know if this was a common problem for early TC88As?
Also, we are probably going to dyno the bike again, with the new cams, on Friday. Is there anyone local to So Cal that has/i using Turbota's program, and a cable? I am a Mac user, so no luck on being able to fix the speedo issue or upload a good program myself.
I am assuming I should dyno the bike with the TC88A, and not the SE Race ignition. Your thoughts? Can anyone help me out?
Thanks,

One more thing, what is the setting recommendation if I can't get Ron's program in the box before the dyno?

Hmmm....I dunno. I never thought about earlier versions. PM Turbota, if anyone would know it would probably be him. Other than that, I'd e-mail Daytona twin tec.....they are helful folks, and the guy that designed it will help you out, he is really a nice guy and helpful. That would probably be the best source for info on your early version.

Turbota sent me the new program, now I just need to figure out a way to borrow a cable so I can upload it.

And now I just sent you the MAP Modified 33 program too ... so now you have both the 33 and the 35 program.
I don't use Mac, so I don't know anything about it.
My speedo and tach stopped working only once. Restarted and everything was fine. Others have had this problem too. Hopefully Twin Tec can figure out whats happening ... it has nothing to do with my MAP programs. Something in the TC88A head unit.

Since I ran the DTT TC88A without a custom program, I never installed the jumper wire. Obviously, I am going to need to install it tonight or tomorrow so I can upload the new program. The instructions are a little vague for my taste, can someone show me a picture or e-mail me what needs to be done?

Okay, with a little fiddling, I figured out how to wire the jumper in to the diagnostic port connector, but I am not sure how to safely yank the #2 wire (brown/gry) from the ignition module connector in order to install the other end of the jumper. Also, how did you guys route your jumper? Sorry for all the questions...

Do you have a service manual? It shows how to pull pins from the connector.

I just took the wire and ran it right up to the TC88A.
