View Full Version : Buell XBRR wins first race! blueglide88 5th March 2006, 02:28 http://www.roadracingworld.com/news/article/?article=25166 bshadbolt 5th March 2006, 02:31 Not a bad first effort, but it sounds like luck played a big role in his win. Cheers, Brett blueglide88 5th March 2006, 02:37 It may seem like a little luck, but reading on the Bad Weather Biker's site, they had a little more info. The Buell was running in heavy traffic, and was nearly as fast in the straights as the Duc. Don't forget this was the very first race for the bike, lots of tweaking and tuning to go yet. :banana Jesse_Bolt 5th March 2006, 02:40 Cool. Thanks for sharing and your 666th post. JB bshadbolt 5th March 2006, 02:53 A dream start to the campaign, sounds promising - if nothing else it sounds like it was a 2 bike race. That in itself is good news. Cheers, Brett cjburr 5th March 2006, 05:11 I am so bummed over this:( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( Had tickets to the race and had to work:( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( SportsterSpive 5th March 2006, 05:18 Congrats! That is amzing news! I knew it would be a winner, no idea it would be that quick. --Sean deanbruhn 5th March 2006, 06:24 Good to see it win!! I hope to see more of this, also if someone would like to mail me one of these beautiful toys I would be well about as happy a boy as one can be. Just thought I would throw that out there. What's the basis for such a protest? Steve3888 14th March 2006, 10:08 Probably the CC's stock XB is 1203 cc the XBRR is 1239. But you can't tell me that Honda didn't put some trick stuff on Duhamel and Zemke's CBR600s. Would tell the Japs to quit their crying , shut up and race. Have to say Erik has to be pretty pleased with the XBRR's showing in the 200. Ran in the top 10 all day, till McMurray retired. First race with a bran new peice. Not bad. Look for them to run very well at Pike's Peak and Brainerd. |
