View Full Version : 1977 IronHead Bobber Project Almost Finished!!
megaman 6th March 2006, 10:36 Well well... It's taken one year later to get to this point... Busted knuckles, welding burns, uncontrolable fits of rage, 5000 + cigarettes, countless beers and I got to this stage:

Link leads to the pics on my server.
Feedback is appreciated.... Hope you guys like it and can appreciate the transformation.
Only a few things left to fab up then I will shoot the paint and get the Powder coating done, put her back to gether, wire it, and get out there on the road.

MidWest XL 6th March 2006, 12:34 Great job, man! What a huge transition from the
"before" pics. I think you did an outstanding job. Can you give us some info on your build? What frame are you using?
megaman 6th March 2006, 17:05 Its a stock sportie frame with the weld on hard tail from JP cycles.
I raised the tank and filled the tunnel so it sits on top of the backbone to give it that choped look.
Exhaust is custom made by myself. As well as the Tank side shifter system.
The foot pegs are solid copper, as well as the shift linkage. My pushrod tubes will be back from the chromer in a week, they are getting copper plated as well. all my oil lines are hard copper (not shown in the pics).
The seat was custom tooled for me by Rich at Bikler Saddles http://www.bikersaddles.com
What elce...
Internal throttle system I made for the bars so there will be NO cables showing on the bars at all.
Gald you guys are liking it.... I should really have got a shovel or something to do all this to but I could not afford it at the time. I will never get what I have put in to this bike out of it again but that is ok, I'll probably just keep it for a few years.
GOTWA 6th March 2006, 17:12 Very cool. :clap

Awesome! I love seeing fellow riders completing projects/realizing THEIR vision of what THEIR ride should be!!!:tour :smoke
The only thing I don't like on the bike is the length/height of the risers. I've never been a fan of risers.:shhhh
