View Full Version : Louder pipes than SEII w/crossover?

Are there any pipes that sound better or are louder that the SEII slipons that use the stock crossover or aftermarket crossover? I don't want a 2 into 1 pipe.

I would really like the idle and cruising sound of my bike to be louder, but I don't want to lose the crossover since it will take away performance. I have a set ot SEII's and they just don't seem to cut it for me. They are plenty loud on on acceleration, but not quite offensive enough on the idle or cruising side.

I believe I read that Cycle Shacks slipons are louder, but I am not sure. Plus, do they still use the stock crossover?

I really wish that V&H would make a set for the sporties with the crossover and have emailed them about it, but they say they have no plans for that product at the moment.

Thanks. This site has been the best.

I have the SEI slipons and according to the dealer these are louder than the SEII's
They also should be just a notch better on performance but again this is what the dealer told me.

Cycle Shack have a more open baffle than SE II and have the crossover holes.
The louder are the slash cut.

They're so louder that I've been obliged to close a bit the baffle...
Can't use where I live, and can't drive with all of this noise, after few miles I don't feel good with my ears.
