It really came down to fit. The seat is incredibly comfortable but I didn't like that it brought me forward a little and, for me at least, the raised rear section pressed into my lower back at an annoying spot. I found I was always fidgeting a bit on long rides. I'm pretty tall and have forward controls and having the seat bring me further forward felt awkward. Too bad because I really liked the seat. I think it was just the way it fit my body that didn't work out.

I agree with you about the hump in the seat. That's why I bought model # 75733 instead. It doesn't have that overhanging piece. I can't stand drop-style seats (like on softails, and the Gunfighter) because I had a back injury a few years ago.

I ended up replacing it with a Corbin Gunfighter and Lady and even though the seat is still a drop style it isn't as dramatic a drop as the Mustang. The Gunfighter is just a better fit for me. I have about 600 miles on the Corbin (mostly in long trips) and the drop doesn't bother me.

What model number of Mustang seat is this? And anyone have suggestions for best place to purchase these from? I am in the market big-time for a more comfy seat for my 883C. I can't have anything that will make the reach any FURTHER -- I'm plenty tall but my partner is barely okay on the height of the bike with the stock seat. Thanks for any recommendations!
