after I changed the primary cover gasket and refilled the primary like 2 months ago my bike has been almost continually puking fluid out the overflow tube(whhich has been rerouted under the seat and had an inline baffle put in) I know I overfilled it alittle but nothing like this!

Stand the bike up straight and open the drain plug located on the bottom of the primary. When it just stops flowing, you're all set.

Pull off the derby cover. If I remember right, the fluid should be just below the lip or so. Any excess will come out. It will make a messy primary cover but at least you will know you got the right amount in there.

How much oil did it take? With the bike upright and drained the manual calls for 32oz. I could not put that much in. When I siphoned the level per manual to the bottom of the clutch diaphram spring there could not have been more than 8oz in the case. I can not explain this and think that I will have to repeat the job.

You must remember, the transmission had fluid in it too. I've found it easier to change when hot. The fluid flows quicker and it's easier to get most of it out by rocking the bike.

With the bike upright and drained the manual calls for 32oz. I could not put that much in.The 32 ounces is if you're dry of every last drop of the old primary oil. So yea, you shouldn't really need that much.
When I siphoned the level per manual to the bottom of the clutch diaphram spring there could not have been more than 8oz in the case. But the transmission is holding a lot of the primary oil too, it's not not just in the chain case.
I can not explain this and think that I will have to repeat the job.Make sure you get as much of the old oil out as you can. Get the bike nice and warm before you drain it (ride it for 15 minutes). Then it should take just shy of a quart of oil (about 28 ounce) to fill it back up.

Well I took off the Derby and drained some, but it was close to the diaphram spring. Rode for about 50-60 miles packing 2 up and alittle trany puke but not much
