Hi all, I am after information in relation to an ignition module the dealer installed in my bike about 8 years ago.

Its a 1340 module with product code 32449-95A.

I would like to know the following information;

Rev limit, Soft or Hard.

Any infor on the advance curve would be appreciated as well.

Thanks in advance.

Scotty..

I did a Google search, but didn't come up with much.

Why not run it up at full throttle in 1st or 2nd and see where the rev limiter is set? .... Of course, if you don't have a tach, I guess that ain't going to work.

I am suprised a 1340 module will even work on a Sporty ...

Found this in th 101 Harley Davidson performance projects,

32449-95A Used on 1996 and later 1340's, 5,250 rpm limit, P advance curve.
Later in the book they tell about the P-curve as no info available, Harley considers the curve on these modules confidential. The book says the module works better then the earlier modules if you don't mind the lower rpm limit. Hope this helps, Roger

Turbota thanks for the effort, I blew up the XL module while on a ride, when I got the bike to the nearest dealer they offered to install this second hand 1340 unit since they didn't have one for an XL at the time.
No I don't have a tach installed at the mo....

Roger thanks mate, 5,250 rpm, I wonder if that is a soft limit ??. Had the bike upto 150 k in third (Mine is a 4 Speed) and I would have thought that would be doing more than 5,250 rpm. I also believe the curve for the big twins is slower than for the Sportsters...
