According to my manual my Sportster only makes 22 amps. Is there any other charging system options that will increase this? At 22 Amps I can't run much more than auxiliary lights. I would like to run some heated clothes, auxillary lights, and possibly a comunication device. This just isn't all possible off of 22 Amps.

So there's nothing I can do? The new Ulysses has more charging power. Can I convert this to work?

hell my bike only makes like 19 amps!!! You can get a bigtwin stator that can make up to 50amps. It would be cool if the mounting holes were the same. maybe that would be a project. HMMMMM(snaps into engineer mode).

I run Gerbing's jacket liner and gloves with a dual control Heat-troller on my 04 and have not had any issues. Been using them since the bike was new in June 2004. Commuting 10 miles to work I usually never turn the liner up more than 1/2 way and that is in 30 degree temps.

it all depends on the amps drawn if ya aint running everything full on at one time you could be fine, if your battery starts to get a little weak you can always hook up the charger at night
