It's short notice but i wondered if there is any Montana or Idaho riders that want to meet up anywhere along this route I have planned.
I had another riding partner that can't make it but I still plan on going. I am leaving Great falls on the 22nd.

Sounds like a great ride! I'm from Spokane originally so I'm very familiar with the area you'll be traveling. Too far away to participate, but hope you have a great time!

I wish I was still in Butte, I would meet you up for Missoula to Great Falls. some of my favorite roads are in that route! You are gonna give us a full report upon return, RIGHT??

I just need to remember to take a good camera so there will be something useful to go along with the full report. Usually when I take multiple day trips it seems I just go from point A to point B. This time Point A and B are the same place. I hope to really enjoy the roads and the stops along the way. Less than 1000 miles in 3-4 days. I will probably take a few little 1-3 hour mini trips when I get to each days destination so I will probably put on 1200-1300 miles or so.

I have actually thought about moving the trip to July 4th week but if I did, that would put me in Sandpoint on July 1st. I have to be back in Great Falls by the 3rd of July at the latest.
Would that week be better for anyone else out there?
I figured the first day I would ride from Great Falls to Libby, MT the second day I would ride to somewhere between Orofino, ID and Grangeville, ID, And the 3rd day ride over LoLo pass, check out the hot springs and ride back to Great Falls.
Does anyone have any suggestions on where to stay either with my tent or cheap motel for those destinations?

I did the logistics, I would have to run out to meet up with you in Spokane, I could then ride until you went across I-90 and then bast on home.
Just a bit too much for one weekend for me, I would need a third day.
Maybe next time.

I am changing the dates now I will leave here June 29th and return on July 2nd. I'm not sure if those dates are any better for anyone here. If anyone wants to meet up along the way or even a little out of the way that would work for me. Also still looking for any suggestions for camp spots or lodging or dining possibilities along the way.
The route is still the same as i listed above.

Jeffy,
That would be quite a bit of riding for you. I might consider rerouting a little and maybe starting the trip in reverse and then I could ride in eastern Washington or northern Oregon if the dates work at all for you.
