V Firm brake lever

Had to brake fairly heavily last night, afterwards (and today) the brake lever feels really tight and I have to apply a lot more pressure to get decent braking.. Whats up?

I have a 04 1200r that the lever was very firm and other times mushy. Turned out to be a bad front brake master cyl. I've seen several reports of same problem. It was covered by warranty. Have it checked out!
