There is some kind of a software glitch in the TC88A. There can be a time when you loose both the speedo and tach. After a restart, everything will be back to normal.
This has happened to mine twice. But when it fails, both the tach and speedo go to zero.
I don't know if Twin Tech is aware of the problem on the Sportys or not.
It's not the fault of the programs I wrote ... fact

Unplug the 12 pin connector that goes into the TC88A module, then plug it securely back in .... that may help.
If that don't work ... call Twin Tec

I have done it without pulling the battery ground ... it's up to you.
If you don't like taking off the battery ground cable, you can just pull out the 'Maxi-Fuse'. It's located right next to the side of the battery when you remove the battery cover ... great big fuse in there ... pulls right out.

I've had this happen at least two times. The first, I pulled over, restarted, and the speedo was back. Last time I just killed the run switch for a second and the speedo was there.
The last time I checked just because I saw a patrol car.
