Ok had my bike worked on by a local shop. paint, new trees, and bunch of stuff done. All seemed well and good Sat I pulled the scoot out of the garage and washed, dried, & polished. I started the bike to take a spin around the mtns here. Bike was warming up all good....then bang!! It died. I went out to start it up again no fire in the start button. "The fuse is out" I say to myself. Sure enough it was blown. I put another into the slot, turned on ignition switch and POP!!! it blew again. I tried another again it blew. Now I am sure the issue is a grounded/crow-barred wire. Here’s the rub, I don't know where to start here. I traced the wire from the ignition switch to the signal modulator, out to the lean sensor. What the heck am i looking for? My manual does not have the voltage reading in the wire diagram. What is the correct voltage I should get on the fuse line that keeps blowing? I think I got like -11.8 something. That doesn't seem right. Any help would be great! I am to the point of saying WTF and just taking it in to have it fixed. I have had nothing but issues from the shop that did this work. I have found tons of issues. They unhooked my VOES from the mount, just let it hang there. Wiring for my signal lights just let them hang in a mess. Any way I ramble. Just want to know if there is something obvious I am missing? Again I have ridden this beast no prob, I started to begin with no problem. It idled no problem then just KAPAUT! I feel real confident that is a crow bar. Even put a 40 fuse in the slot to see if it was a hot line crossed popped it like a POPTART! Thanks going give it today to figure it out, then off to the HUNDRED DOLLAR store. Thanks in advance. I think this is an easy fixed...but you ever have a brain fart

Most likely a short in the starter/ignition circuit. I'd measure the resistance to ground on all of the "hot" wires in that circuit.

try disconnecting all plugs on circuit and install new fuse to see if its wiring blowing fuse. if not, start by plugging one component in at a time until fuse blows. kinda crude but will tell whats blowing it.

Sounds like kill switch wire is earthed out...
undo the righthand switchblock and check for pinched/earthed wire where the wires go under/through the brake bracket...
that's the most likely culprit ... and I see it often

Stevo,
Tried this but the Genuis at the shop put freeking locktght on the screws and siliconed the block to the handle bars. (wires running through bar). Geeze I knew I should have done the work myself. I so see paying someone for all the work and cursing I see in my future ;) I thought of the kill switch as well. Will give it the college try and see what happens.

mmmmmm ... wires thru the bar ..... check where they come out too ...
common problem is the inlet and outlet holes are rarely champhered correctly and the sharp edges cut thru the wire covering...
then ya get the ignition/kill wire straight to earth...... and ya keep blowing fuses..
the other one is the indicator wires to cut

FIXED IT!! :) I drove it to work this morning as a matter of fact. Was tricky to find but Stevo was right on the money. Where the wires lead into the bars barley discernable was a tear in the heat shrink. I fixed it up and fired it up no problems. Thanks all.
BTW does anyone have a good trick to get the oil filter off without making a complete mess? I have a spoiler on chin so makes it tough to get anything in there to catch it. Any tricks from the pros?

Cut the bottom out of a 2 liter coke bottle and use it as a funnel under your filter. Works for me.

what he said, also puncture filter with an ice pic and drain from there.
