Finally was able to put the bike back together this weekend, small stuff like Forward controls and pipes. I took this pic of the rear, and this was the first time I noticed it. My tail light has this yellow window on the top of it, and it lights up the sissy bar ornament. I thought it was cool as hell!

These others, you can sort of see my anti-chrome finish on the pipes.

I also took a small vid clip of my exhaust sound, but I got no place to host it.

That glow on the sissy bar is real cool looking. Gotta love it when something unplanned comes ut to your advantage!! I like your pipes brushed out. If I had pipes like them I'd ditch the heat shields and wrap them in black tape... just an idea... I like taped pipes though and I'm bummin cause I don't think it'll look good on mine with the crossover pipe.

IF the pipes were straight drags, I'd wrap them, but I think the "muffler" part might look gay wrapped because it bulges out so much.

Hey, maybe I'll just cut the mufflers off, weld on some 1-3/4" extensions, then wrap em...might sound like a plan...I'd cut them so they terminate at the same length, like shotgun pipes.

yea, wouldn't want to go that far down fer sure.

So what's next on your drawing board, or this the big put back together before spring arrives?

I think that's about it for now. I may buy a new gas tank this spring, a 4.2 gal Porkster for longer rides. I also do want the progressive lowering kit... I have the MSF course next month. I'd like it all together so that when I get the lisence and all, I can just take it straight out.

Your pipes look great, Engine...I'm anxious to find out how they do in the elements...keep us updated, ok? You've sure personalized your bike in a short amount of time, too...you're going to be bored til riding time now! Thanks for the pics!

Hi Engine.

Very nice effect on those pipes Sir.
Your bike makes me miss my old 1988 sporty, kinda wish i didn't sell her, but I love my 2003 Custom.

Do post more pics once you get your Porkster tank on.
