Do I:
1) Replace tire
2) Pull it and plug
3) Let dealer handle it
4) Listen to your advice, and what is it???

I would change the Tire. Not a big fan of plugs on a motorcycle. Besides yours is on the side wall. I dont think anyone will put a plug in it.

I was afraid you'd say that, but I kinda have to agree... There goes more $$$ ... :(

The tire's definitely trash. If you want to save a few $$$ you can take the wheel off the bike and bring it in. That'll save ~30min labor.

since you have to buy a tire I would get the Metzler. I think its the M880 but dont hold me to that. I hear that it is a good tire. better than the Dunlop that HD has.

After spending a grand total of 3 months in a tire shop, I can tell you that you shouldn't plug the sidewall....

Tread looks weak enough to justify a replacement....
I just found a place that will sell, mount and balance a rear Elite III for 140.00
I'm in....

What do those go for, generally?...
I hear a lot of good things about'em....but I hear the same about the Elite III's....

I'd have to pull the invoice to be sure, but I believe I paid something like $105 for the rear and $92 for the front from Eastern Performance on the net. Free shipping too. Got them mounted and spin balanced locally for $15 each.
