I have had it for three weeks and I could not be more satisfied. It is a 2001 model but I need some info on a more comfortable seat for 2 up riding and longer rides. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Mustang makes a very comfortable seat for Sporties. Check out their site.

Many are happy with the Sundowner, including myself, but what works for some, may not work for others.

And like vicks44 says, progressive shocks.

"Seats" is one of those topics where everyone has an opinion, largely because its a very subjective thing. People have different needs and preferences.

For instance, I do long-distance touring, so long-haul comfort is high on my list in picking out a seat. I have several Corbins on various bikes, which are great for this. Some people think they are too hard, but usually that's because they are light weight (less than 125 lbs.) or they just do short rides.

For two-up riding, the H-D Sundowner gets great reviews, more from the passenger than the driver. They don't do much for the looks of a Sporty -- like you just plunked a horse saddle down on the bike. A great alternative for comfort AND looks, IMO, is H-D's Pillow Touring seat. I just put 250 miles on mine yesterday riding in the mountains around Ruidoso and it was surprisingly comfortable for both me and my 110 lb. wife. And the price is great -- $160 from Chicago Harley.

I put over 50,000 miles on my Mustang seat and it's still pretty comfortable.:banawala

I like the Sundowner and so does the wife. It looks "ok" on a newer custom with the big gas tank, but I think it looks overly big with a peanut tank.

Got about 20,000 miles on mine and it looks great.

I'm pretty happy with my Mustang Wide and my wife is very happy with the wide passenger seat. I can only compare it to the stock seat as I haven't tried any of the others, but this seat is comfortable enough that I have no desire to try any of them either.
