I can't wait to see them!!! You gave me motivation to come home from the swap meet this weekend with a couple used fenders to play with. I'll probably just watch them collect dust for a few years, but when I see yours finished that might spur me on to go do some cutting :D

Good for you Gary. I like stuff that is different, not what everyone else has.
Do your best and don't worry what others may say. There will always be someone to pick apart what you made but they have no idea what they are talking about. The guys that know will compliment your work because they know how hard it is to make this shit. Practice welding on some scrape metal and painting also. It takes time and practice but is very rewarding as you learn more and more. Go to some street rod and bike shows to get some ideas too.
Later,

i asked this in your previous thread, but didnt get a reply, so I shall try again =)
what's is the story on the fenders? are they old stock, or did you modify the originals by extening it somehow? If they are old stock, did it take much work to get it to mount to the newer rear end? If it's that different at all.

gearhead, I took a car hood from a junkyard and cut a piece of metal out of it, and beat it, cut it, shape it the way I wanted and welded about 10 inches to an original fender. You have to make the radius match the stock fender. Not easy with just a hammer. LOL!

thanks for the reply, with all the welding you were talking about I though you may have added it to the stock fender. I may have to try that. It cant hurt to beat on a piece of metal for a bit. =)
