What bags work with the S model shock towers? Any rigid options, or are throw-overs the only way?

Michael_A_Z 9th April 2006, 16:09 Homarr, I bought my 2001, 1200S used last year and the guy I bought it from had the canvas saddle bags on it equipped with mounting brackets which stay on the bike when I remove the bags...You may want to look at J&D Cycles online as well as some other after market folks...They are out there for sure.. Ride Safe/Ride Often - 81 Michael Z papagator 10th April 2006, 01:08 I find it hard to locate accessories for my 96 1200s. The items I usually find for 96 sportster has this attached " (except 1200s)". I was able to find forward controls but had to modify them to fit my VH pipes. I will let you know if I find anything on the bags. Homarr 10th April 2006, 18:59 The items I usually find for 96 sportster has this attached ("except 1200S")... Yeah, sux right? Michael, are they HD canvas bags? Can you give a little more info (like part number if you have one), or a pic? Thanks! cooperro 11th April 2006, 06:41 Hi Everyone, I've had Leatherlyke hard bags on my 1200S now for 4 years, and I love 'em. They lock and are pretty much water proof. You can take them off and put them on real easy. My only qualm is that I wish they were just a hair bigger. But, it's a Sporty and I suppose if they were much bigger they'd look weird.
