I own a 1990 883 four speed sportster,
I have been contemplating a 1200 upgrade on my bike for years.
I believe this would be the best build for my bike.

KB Pistons 10.1:1 Compression
Heads Pottered and Flowed, Oversize Valves
Thunder slide kit.
S&S Tear Drop with K&N filter

This kit should net me around the 80 hp mark (give or take)

I am keeping the stock Cams and Ignition.

If any body has done a upgrade like this or If you have an opinion on this upgrade I would appreciate the feedback..

80hp at the rear wheel seems a little ambitious with the stock cams. 70's is more reasonable. Save the money you'd spend on the carb and roll it into a good cam/exhaust combination that will complement your headwork if you want 80.

I have just completed a very similar conversion. The heads and valves are definately going to be the most bang for the buck. I also have kept stock ingnition and cams (for now). You are going to LOVE it when you get it done. My Annabelle went from being a street ripper into a bellowing thunderhammer on the super slab. You will really appreciate the highway muscle this conversion will give you.
