I need tires, and I think I'm goiung to get whitewalls - does anyone have some info on models available? In a related question, what is the widest rear tire I can fit in my 04 1200C, without modifications.

Thanks,
John

Metzeler states that their ME 880 in a 160/80 16 will fit a 2004 and up stock wheel and swingarm setup.

However, for the ME880 line they only offer either a 130/90 140/90 or 150/80-16 and a 100/90-19 in white walls for us Sporty folk.

Here's the white wall page for the ME880:

Thanks for the link - I'm going to stay with a 21" front though, so I'll probably look at the Avons - I've heard good things about them. I think I'm going to get the Profile laced wheel for the back as well. When I do I'll post some photos.

I want to see those photos...

I dig whitewalls, but only on the right kind of set-up....

I'll post some photos when they're done (haven't ordered them yet). Yeah, I love retro stuff, and although my bike isn't a bobber or anything, I think the tires will look good. I'd love to get a Springer front end down the road also. With all the chrome I have, they (whitewalls) will definitely help to make a statement. I hope it doesn't look too "gay" (if you know what I mean). I figure to do a lot of riding this year, so it will only be one season if I don't like them. I'm sure they'll be worn out by next Spring.

I can't wait to see the post of the photos. I'm looking at doing the same thing.
