G'day all.
I wanna buy somethin that I found on the Dennis Kirk website Dennis Kirk.com (http://www.denniskirk.com/jsp/common/Frontpage.jsp)
But before I do I wanna ask ya's if reckon he's ok to deal with?
Have any of ya's had any good or bad experiences with him?

The part I wanna buy is this Stage I Big Sucker Performance Air Filter (http://www.denniskirk.com/jsp/product_catalog/Product.jsp?skuId=182533&store=Main&productId=p182533&catId=209&leafCatId=20902)

Any feedback would be very welcome
Thanx in advance :)

Gronk I haven't purchased anything from them, but in case you didn't notice and you want it right away, I just wanted to bring to your attention that it says "expected soon" next to that item. Must be on backorder. I know JP cycle carries them and Jireh probably does too. You could probably shoot them an email to ask if they have it in stock if you didn't want to wait around for Dennis Kirk.

I have used Dennis Kirk several times over the past few years. I have found that the shipping prices can be a tad too high, and a lot of the no-name products are low quality. Kinda like JC Whittney cheap...

I now use J&P for almost everything. I get good prices, good shipping, and great customer support. I am planning on ordering over $750 worth of goodies from them next month when the taxes come back..

Hey thanx for the quick replies :)

I went and checked out JP cycles but couldn't find the air cleaner kit for Sporties. All they had was "Team Ness™ “Big Sucker” Air Filter Kits for Carbureted Twin Cam™ and EV2 Big Twin 1993-2005"
Maybe I was lookin in the wrong spot but I used the search function a few times and that was all I came up with.
I found a place called cyborgcycles.com that has them but they don't ship internationally.

Sounds like Dennis Kirk is ok and I don't mind waitin for a cuppla weeks before they get 'em in.

Gronk, I recently purchased a New Corbin Gunfighter and Lady seat from Dennis Kirk off of Ebay. $76.00 + $12.00 shipping. Arrived New in Box for $88.00 bucks.

That was 1 hellova deal!

Highly recommend Dennis Kirk.

I haven't dealt directly with their store, but I purchased my exhaust from their scratch and dent store on ebay. I was very impressed with the service and they had incredibly fast shipping.

Gronk, I would be very interested in hearing a review about the big sucker when you get it. I have been thinking about this air cleaner myself.

I've bought a bunch of stuff from them for my ATV's. They used to have a $6 charge for any order under $100 and that was a pain in my ass. They have since done away with it.

I would usually get my stuff within 3 days of order, but you're overseas.

I have bought stuff from DennisKirk online and through their catalogs for years and years. They are great to deal with. If you order over $100, there is no shipping charge. They aren't always the cheapest, but I've never had a bad experience dealing with them.

You can also call Jireh cycles on their 800 #. Just received their 05 catalog and
prices have dropped on stuff.

Hey Gronkinator! Yeah I've used 'em before. They've got a store about an hour north of me here. If it's cheaper I could get it and then ship it to you. Let me know if you wanna do that.

Later...

Hey Gronk, what the heck! After editing all those ac threads and junk, didn't ya read em,

16 February
I was going for the Arlen Ness big sucker II but the delivery date for them at the distributors keeps getting pushed back. I talked to Ness and they said maybe March sometime, so that's why I went back to the round SE kit.

17 February
The Ness one I wanted might not be available for a another 4-8wks. Oh well. I'll be getting the Zippers air filter upgrade soon anyway. 1 inch thicker element. I like the look so I'll stick with it.

I talked to Ness in early Feb and they were like "Well we're hoping for early March but I can't guarantee that"

Anyway, just funnin with ya. :D

hahaha yeah I read 'em all.
I've had my order in at Dennis Kirk since the 12th feb. The main reason I went with the Big sucker kit is coz of the price. Gettin all the bits together for the same setup as you n Ron have was gunna cost a bit more down here.

But it looks like I'm the "big sucker" for believin Dennis the menace coz I'm still waitin for the delivery. Like ya said, the dates keep gettin pushed back :cry1
I ain't gunna wait for much longer..and then I'll cancel my order and figure somethin else out.
