Does anyone have any recommendations for driver floorboards for a Sportster 883C? I just did a 300 mile drive day and the two things I've gotta change before the next one are the seat (thinking about a Mustang 15" wide, comments?) and floorboards.

does your custom have forward controls ( i think they do) try resting your feet over the pegs once you hit that highest gear and relax

I have Kuriyakin Isso-min wings on the front of my forward controls. They give me more room to adjust my feet to different riding styles.HD also sells universal mini-floor boards that will attach right where your your pegs go.

But any HD or offshot dealer (Indie) will know. Just remember that the rear clevis on the 04+ will not allow any floorboards due to the curve. The 03's and priors have the straight rear peg clevis's that allow a vast array of minifloorboards. I put the Iso mini wings up front and love them. I am no longer restricted to the one size pegs. I went ahead a put the fatter forward pegs on the rear for more room away from the pipes for my passenger.
Good luck.

Check on Ebay with 2orangeHarleys. They have a great set that has floating platforms for greater vibration isolation. J & P has a great selection too. I looked at the mini-boards but they were not really the best choice for me :wonderlan :wonderlan :wonderlan

I actually put on 3 different sets of mini floorboards upfront and they were to bulky for my taste. I put on the Kuryikan mini-boards and they fit just right and look right IMO. Damn things are $89.00 bucks a pair but I was able to get a deal. Worth it since I am no longer restricted by the original forward pegs...

I have 6000+ miles on my 15" Mustang wide vintage solo on my '05 1200C and it works very well for me, no complaints. I put Progressive 12" 440 shocks and Race Tech fork springs with Gold emulator valves in the forks also. I'm now looking at handlebar replacement.

Here's a strange question. My legs are the only thing that gets tired on very long rides from holding my feet up on the foward control pegs. So I was wondering if a person could have both the forward controls and the mid mount pegs installed at the same time.
I know it would look stupid but who cares when you are riding 600 miles and are looking for comfort.

Looked at this myself last year. You can get the mid control mounts (they take the pegs) off ebay and put them on. Decided on floorboards.
Used to ride on the passenger pegs on my other bikes with midcontrols to do the same thing on longer rides.....:smoke

On long rides, I pop my feet up on the passenger pegs and it helps a great deal. Good for leaning into the wind too, since I don't have a windshield. Works well for me, at any rate.

I rest my feet on top of the forward pegs once I hit 5th gear and I know I will be there awhile. I also shift them back to the passenger pegs depending on wind and how long I've been riding.
