I see that some of you have changed out the black front master cylinder for chrome. Does anyone have any input on the HD brand vs. Bikers choice? I see that the HD is much more expensive(big surprise), but I am wondering about quality of the chrome plating and performance. Do the aftermarkets have the same feel when appling the brakes? Mom always says you get what you pay for, and when they are half the price it makes you wonder.

Your Mom gave you good advice but it doesn't always apply, particularly where HD is concerned. Most of the after market stuff is pretty good. They know what the competition is. I've never bought a chrome master cylinder but others in here have. Get the J&P caycle cataloge available online.

I bought my chrome controls from Jireh. Have no idea what name they are, made in japan but most of the stuff on the wall in Harley is made there also. I have gotten nothing but compliments on them. Going to do my brother in laws 05 Fatboy next. Just make sure there is no chrome in the hole in the master cylinder before you fill it with fluid.

I just watched a chrome Harley 9/16" master cylinder and clutch perch brand new in the box sell for $25 on ebay. I'm kicking myself now...
