When is the best time to pay my taxes? Will there be any problems/issues if it's done before the break-in process is done?

View Full Version : Should I wait? glau13 23rd April 2006, 23:47 When is the best time to pay my taxes? Will there be any problems/issues if it's done before the break-in process is done? kdarejr 24th April 2006, 00:17 some say wait some say just do it !! my neighbor just got his bike new from the dealer with the stage 1 done before delivery !!! so just get er done !! jwbradbury 24th April 2006, 00:29 With the Stage 1 upgrade, many do it right away just to have it done. There isn't anything I can think of as to a reason to delay the mod. The biggest issue is your ability to pay for the work... that's usually the chief factor. J.W. xena 24th April 2006, 00:35 I don't think it will hurt anything if you do it before you finish your break in. Plenty of people have their dealer do the stage 1 before they take delivery of a brand new bike. stevo 24th April 2006, 00:39 will make no difference... I did my "stage 1" as soon as it got home from being "birthed" from the crate had less than 50 kilometres on it... Gary 24th April 2006, 00:42 The break in process is mainly about having your piston rings seat themselves in where they want to live. Your engine is doing micro machining during this period. That's why the guidlines for rpms and speed are there. Doing stage one doesn't really do much of anything to effect how the rings seat in. The most important thing is to follow the rev guidelines and stay away from synthetic oil during your break in period. Gazza Vegas1200C 24th April 2006, 01:55 The bennefit of waiting is being able to tell how much of a change it is. It is like getting a new bike. Maybe you should ask the bike if it is ready. Why does it always have to be about what you want? cantolina 24th April 2006, 02:05 Wait... You'll be too tempted to stomp on it..... :) If you can keep yourself from going crazy, do it now... You WILL be able to tell the difference better if you wait..... trollingforwalleye 24th April 2006, 02:05 That's the reason I am waiting awhile. I'm having fun now :banana and it gives me something to look forward to.:chop Vince 24th April 2006, 02:06 I agree with Vegas. At mile 501, flog the snot out it until 600 or so. Then do your stage 1. You will be very impressed with the difference. Otherwise, if you actually ride through the breakin like your suppose to you will never know how much difference it made. silver ghost 24th April 2006, 02:17 Personally I would rather ride than wrench. And with all the advice there is on this forum, I haven't decided what pipes, AC, rejet etc. that I will do. Going to decide at the end of the season and it will make a good winter project. Besides, next spring it will be like riding a "new" bike. |
