Damn Connectors!!!!

I'm trying to get the front turn signal wires out of the connector on a 02 1200C, and can't seem to get the wires out of the 6 wire connector under the gas tank. I tried with a saftey pin as per the shop manual, but had no luck. Is there a tick to these things that I am missing?

There is a trick to it. In the back of the HD service manuals, there is a wiring appendix that has a diagram of each type connect on the bike showing how to turn the pick in the hole to pop the pin out. It is one of those things thats easy to do with the diagram in front of you and you will never get it without the diagram. If you don't have a service manual, email me and I will scan a picture in for you and email it too you. I may be out until later this evening but will check my email when I get in.
