Hi everybody
I am new in this forum so maybe this was already debated:
I like my XL 2003 Standard style, but not the lack of HP, I loved the power of a Buell XB12S I tried, but can't accept its geometry and line; why not combine the best of the two?
How about a Sportster with a true Buell(XB) engine, even better has anyone built a bike putting together a light Sportster style frame with the powerfull Buell motor?

It seems the factory was thinking the same thing back in 2003...

The rubbermounted 1200's are pretty much exactly that, as the engine internals are just about the same. The Buell has a little more compression, and a little more cam, but the rotating assembly and the heads and all that are the same. The biggest different is the fuel injection, and an Sportster couldn't use the Buell EFI system and still look like a Sportster.

You'll find that pretty much anyone who has done any kind of motor work to a Sportster that's running the XB (2004 and up) heads, is more or less running a Buell engine.
