Hopefully some time today.

You'd think a company like Harley that publishes in its own mag (HOG) that they are going to show the new models on X date would have that website up and running by midnight that morning.

Either they're purposely trying to ensure the dealers really see/hear the news first, so they've instructed their IT people not to let the new site go live until after the dealer meeting either starts (even ends for the whatever session they're having) OR they haven't given any thought to it and just told the IT people to have it go live today (which would be annoying).

At least they could have something on the website saying - see the new models and a time!

They must be updating it now, or it's inundated with traffic, cause I'm having problems getting back on it.

It's probably because they have to post the pictures of the HD televisions as well as the motorcycles. Takes more time.

I was trying to wait till the 09's came out before I added a bike to the fleet,but I figured all I was going to see was more bikes with fat tires. Bought a Concours 14 !!

Since we are waiting, I'm happy with the 883 and the XR1200 may have the upper hand performance wise,but I think I would prefer a more xr750 retro look to the Euro trash look.
Hey I'm an old guy and have my HD retro picks, xl 883, Springer Classic, I was hoping for a v-rod bagger or big inch water cooled touring. I was looking for a sport touring bike and I think its a lot of bike for the price of a XB12XT.

I've been told by a previously reliable source that it IS coming out... however he did not specifiy that the announcement was THIS dealer's meeting... could be in Jan/Fed too....

WHY was he tight lipped, the Moco said through their own magazine that the press embargo was over today - he and others should be free to speak about this if that's the case... :frownone

I was told by an insider almost a year ago (specifically that there are BIG changes planned for the sporty line for 2010)... I'm still thinking that it's going to involve an expansion of the XR line... as a matter of fact I don't buy for a moment this is it for the 09 line.

They've eliminated EVERY SINGLE MODEL with a higher seat height, dual discs and any SPORTing bent - there's GOTTA be a reason for that. I think they're bringing out AT LEAST the XR1200 - maybe in a day, maybe a week, maybe a month, maybe 6 months, but I stand by that prediction.

Or they're gonna do something even MORE radical in 2010.

Still... this Sportster line-up is supposed to tide them over for a year... and that's assuming the XR comes over mid-year. A slightly-sportified 1200R would be decent middle ground between the XR and the cruiser low Sporties.

No this lineup will hold them over for 6 months IF the XR comes mid-year.

And the slightly sportified 1200R was just what they discontinued, probably for a reason - to build demand for the XR is my guess.

Hell haven't we seen some people requesting the 1200R just since they stopped shipping them?

They all have the same displacement.

The base V-rod, not the Night or Muscle, has the most ground clearance (not that it's by much).

They all have forwards, not the mids of the street rod?

Tires are the same on all of them.

Not sure about front suspension, maybe they did something on the muscle I dunno?

I know your not being difficult.
I tried to open HD's site for more info on all the v-rods, but it's so slow I haven't obtained any info on the other v-rods. I didn't know they all had the same up grades or equipment.

The Muscle has a different torque specification, 86.00 ft lbs @ 6500.
